Surgical Technologist

The Surgical Tech in the Operating Room is responsible for providing safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures. This role includes preparing, assembling, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment, scrubbing for various surgical cases, and ensuring a sterile and organized work environment. The Surgical Tech participates in 24-hour call coverage to support surgical operations as needed. Responsibilities:

• Prepare, assemble, and maintain operating room instrumentation and equipment.
• Scrub in for a wide variety of surgical cases, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area within the operating room.
• Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage to support surgical procedures as required.
• Assist surgical team members by anticipating instrument and supply needs during procedures.

• Washington State Surgical Tech license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience preferred.

• Experience with a wide variety of surgical cases and procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills within the surgical team.

• Participation in 24-hour call coverage is required.
• Work performed in a high-intensity, sterile operating room environment.

• Shift work with on-call responsibilities, including nights and weekends as needed.
