Seeking an experienced Lead AV Install Technician to oversee and perform the installation, integration, testing, and commissioning of commercial audiovisual systems. This role serves as the on-site technical lead, responsible for directing installation crews, ensuring adherence to project specifications, maintaining quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in AV systems, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

• Lead and supervise AV installation technicians on job sites.
• Coordinate daily installation activities to ensure projects remain on schedule and within scope.
• Review project drawings, engineering documentation, and scopes of work prior to installation.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions with project managers and stakeholders.

Install and integrate commercial audiovisual systems, including:

• Audio systems
• Video conferencing systems
• Digital signage
• Video distribution systems
• Control systems
• Projection systems
• LED display systems
• Network-connected AV devices

Additional responsibilities include:

• Installing and terminating low-voltage cabling, including CAT6, fiber optic, speaker, control, and coaxial cabling.
• Mounting displays, projectors, cameras, speakers, racks, and related equipment.
• Building, wiring, and dressing equipment racks in accordance with industry best practices.

• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance checks.
• Verify equipment functionality and system performance against design requirements.
• Assist with system configuration and programming support as required.
• Document installation completion, punch-list items, and quality control inspections.
• Support client demonstrations and user acceptance testing.

• Promote and enforce job-site safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct work in accordance with OSHA regulations and applicable building codes.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Maintain clean, organized, and professional work environments.

• Maintain accurate installation records, project documentation, and daily reports.
• Redline drawings and report field changes to project management.
• Assist with inventory management and material tracking.
• Submit project documentation in a timely manner.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
• Commercial AV installation
• Video conferencing systems
• Low-voltage cabling
• System troubleshooting and testing
• Equipment rack buildouts
• Team leadership and project coordination

• CTS, CTS-I, or other AVIXA certifications
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with industry-leading AV platforms such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Q-SYS, and similar technologies
• Strong knowledge of commercial AV integration and commissioning best practices

Expert Level

This is a Contract position based out of Scottsdale, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
