Using a holistic systems engineering approach, you will support the design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and system-oriented products throughout their entire life cycle.

This position plays a critical role in transitioning radio communications from legacy architectures to modern IP-based environments in coordination with Telecommunications Integrated Services (TIS), while simultaneously ensuring all system requirements are rigorously defined, verified, and validated against customer and government standards.

This position is 100% on-site, located in Anchorage, Alaska. Travel to remote locations may be required.

  • Support the design, development, and evaluation of end-to-end systems across their full life cycle.
  • Design interfaces and integrate system elements to ensure cohesive end-to-end performance.
  • Participate in design reviews of hardware and software components to ensure requirements traceability and compliance.
  • Generate system-level verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
  • Review test plans to ensure they meet contractual objectives and participate in testing to validate requirements.

Skills Required:

  • Familiarity with Voice over IP (VoIP) systems, Voice Communication Systems (VCS), and legacy radio architectures.
  • Strong background in systems engineering principles, including requirements development, verification, and validation.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements and compliance frameworks applicable to federal communications infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multi-discipline engineering teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required FAA public trust security clearance/suitability determination.

Skills Preferred:

  • Experience supporting FAA programs or National Airspace System (NAS) infrastructure projects.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems or infrastructure engineering, telecommunications, computer science or information technology and 8 years relevant experience or Master's degree and 6 years relevant experience.

Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US.

The salary range for positions is $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
