Finance and Data Analyst for AI Workflow Annotation [Remote]

Help improve next-generation AI systems by turning real finance and data-analysis work into accurate, secure, multi-step workflow documentation. This remote contractor role focuses on capturing how finance professionals use data warehouses, spreadsheets, and collaboration tools to complete practical analytical work. You will independently perform and document authentic finance and data workflows, providing detailed inputs that help AI systems learn to reason through real-world tasks. Work is completed through an internal annotation platform with flexible, self-directed participation and clearly defined deliverables.

• Design and document detailed finance and data-analysis workflows, including data pulls, reconciliations, financial model building, reporting, and analysis.
• Execute each workflow using real tools such as Snowflake and Excel or Google Sheets, capturing each action, decision, input, and output.
• Incorporate collaboration activities where relevant, including Slack threads for cross-functional coordination and shared documents for distribution and feedback.
• Create thorough scenario documentation with step-by-step instructions, rationale, formulas, SQL queries, and illustrative screenshots or results.
• Identify ambiguous or edge-case scenarios, flag them for the project team, and incorporate feedback to improve workflow accuracy and coverage.
• Maintain high standards for data security and privacy throughout workflow execution and documentation.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in FP&A, accounting, financial analysis, or data analytics.
• Practical experience with advanced spreadsheets and data-warehousing tools, such as Snowflake.
• Ability to write reliable SQL queries for reporting, reconciliation, and ad hoc analysis.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability when creating financial workflows and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex work to annotators without subject-matter familiarity.
• Familiarity with Slack and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace in finance or data workflows.
• Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, or BI dashboards such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is beneficial.
• Experience in data annotation, process documentation, or quality assurance is an advantage.
