Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Itasca, IL
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $60-70K

This role works closely with the Warehouse Manager to support multiple client accounts, ensuring each client's specific handling requirements, service levels, and reporting needs are met. The ideal candidate is highly procedural, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a team while balancing the priorities of several clients at once.

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including freight receiving, unloading, inspection, put-away, order picking, packing, and outbound shipping.
• Assist the Warehouse Manager in managing client accounts, including monitoring service level agreements (SLAs), tracking inventory accuracy, and communicating operational updates to clients as needed.
• Ensure inbound and outbound freight is processed according to established procedures, including proper documentation (BOLs, packing lists, pick tickets, and shipping labels).
• Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all shifts to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with client-specific requirements.
• Lead, schedule, and supervise warehouse associates and forklift operators; assign daily tasks and monitor productivity against targets.
• Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical inventories; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor dock schedules and coordinate with carriers, drivers, and clients to ensure timely receiving and outbound appointments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Train new and existing staff on warehouse procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend updates to procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Required:

• Prior experience in freight receiving and outbound shipping operations within a warehouse or distribution center setting.
• Experience assisting with or supporting client account management, ideally within a third-party logistics (3PL) or multi-client warehouse environment.
• Strong procedural mindset — able to follow, enforce, and document standard operating procedures with consistency and attention to detail.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment preferred.

Preferred:

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across different client accounts.
• Effective communication skills, both with team members and client contacts.
• Ability to read and interpret BOLs, packing lists, and shipping documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or relevant certification in logistics or supply chain a plus.
• Forklift certification, or ability to obtain certification, preferred.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods on the warehouse floor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely operate material handling equipment as needed.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and noise levels.
