Director, Retail Operations - East

Summary The Director of Retail Operations, East is a strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence and regional strategy across Bulgari boutiques in the Eastern United States. Based in New York City, this role oversees inventory control, compliance, audits, asset protection, and supports new store openings and boutique projects. The Director leverages data-driven insights to optimize processes, manage budgets, and develop high-performing operations teams. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and SOPs across the region to ensure compliance and brand standards. Lead and conduct in-boutique audits, inventory cycle counts, discrepancy investigations, and corrective action plans to minimize shrink and optimize stock accuracy. Oversee controllable expenses and regional budgets, enforce financial controls for cash handling, transactions, and record-keeping. Provide strategic operational support for new store openings, relocations, and renovations ensuring seamless execution from planning to opening. Partner with Boutique Directors and cross-functional teams to design and deliver training, onboarding, and succession planning for operations staff. Collaborate with Asset Protection and internal control to design and implement risk management, security protocols, and incident mitigation strategies. Requirements Minimum of 10+ years of experience in retail operations management, with multi‑unit luxury retail oversight. Proven experience in inventory management, auditing, asset protection, and enforcing governance frameworks in a high-value retail environment. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational policies, training programs, and compliance measurement strategies. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, controls, and analytical reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
