Phlebotomist

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Phlebotomist you will help the Laboratory obtain and/or prepare specimens for analysis so they can provide accurate laboratory services vital for outpatient inpatient surgery and emergency department patients .

Every day you will work under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor obtaining and/or preparing specimens for analysis . You will be expected to use a state-of-the-art wireless handheld computer to ensure patient safety and actively participate in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health .

To be successful in this role you must be a dynamic Phlebotomist who is passionate about the health and well-being of our patients and have completed an accredited phlebotomy program (with national certification being preferred) .

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)

Preferred

• Previous experience in a health-related field
• Phlebotomy Cert
