Senior AccountantRunway is seeking a skilled, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as a Senior Accountant. This is a salary-exempt, in-office position.Benefits & Perks for Full-Time Team MembersEmployee Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance; Flexible Spending & Health Savings AccountsCompany paid Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability401(k) Plan & Company MatchPTO + Company Paid HolidaysParental & Bereavement LeaveWellness Reimbursement BenefitBicycle Incentive ProgramResponsibilities:Complete monthly sales reports, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.Provide accounting setup and integration support for new concept openings; ensuring a seamless transition into ongoing financial operations.Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing within assigned portfolio; ensuring payroll is processed in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.Complete the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and account reconciliations.Prepare final monthly financial reporting packages for internal management.Collaborate with the accounting and operational leadership on the annual budgeting process.Assist with preparation of year-end 1099s and tax reporting.Review and approve accounts payable entries and credit card transactions prepared by staff accountants to verify proper coding and classification.Confirm that credit card expenses are treated appropriately for sales tax purposes.Review and oversee customer invoicing and collections efforts to ensure timely and accurate billing.Ensure proper sales tax treatment for all customer transactions.Maintain cash balances and oversee cash activity, including coordinating with other staff to ensure timely payment and high-quality input to accounting softwarePresent multi-faceted information and financial reports, providing additional analysis and information as neededCoordinate with other staff to provide support for other finance and accounting projectsTrack business activities and prepare supporting informationPrepare journal entries for payroll, depreciation, investments and other areas as neededAnalyze and prepare recommendations to management on process improvementPerform other duties as required and necessary to accomplish goals and objectivesQualifications:Bachelors' degree in accounting or related field OR 10 years of progressive accounting experienceMust be technologically savvyStrong technical skills, including knowledge and use of Accounting Software, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookProficient in use of Word, Excel, Access and Outlook Microsoft Office applicationsHigh attention to detail and accuracyMust be deadline focused and self-drivenAbility to work in a fast-paced, high volume team environment.Strong organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidential informationPersonal Attributes That Support Your Success:Strong customer service and ability to cross-collaborate across different departments and with key stakeholders.Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate.Physical Requirements of Position:Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle, feel, and seize objects with hands frequently throughout the workday.Mobility: Capacity to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed to perform daily office tasks.Extended Periods of Activity: Comfortable performing tasks requiring repetitive movements.Visual & Auditory Requirements: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, as well as sight, to interact with co-workers, vendors, and guests effectively and to perform computer-based tasksRunway Group LLC is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to building and maintaining a culturally diverse workplace.
