Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Custodian at Orange County High. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This full-time position requires a commitment to excellence in cleaning and facility maintenance, ensuring that all areas of the school are well-kept and conducive to a positive educational experience.

Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of school facilities, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
- Empty trash receptacles and recycle bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for school events, meetings, and activities.
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a clean and safe environment for all students and staff.
- Perform seasonal cleaning tasks such as window washing, floor waxing, and carpet cleaning as required.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance cleaning skills and techniques.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as furniture and cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- A valid driver's license may be required for certain tasks or responsibilities.
