Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Traveler NICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a Level III NICU environment. This role requires a compassionate professional capable of managing critically ill neonates and working collaboratively with staff and families.

Responsibilities:

• Administer specialized neonatal nursing care to stabilize and support critically ill infants.
• Monitor and operate advanced NICU equipment including oscillators, vents, and bubble CPAP systems.
• Perform procedures such as PIV placement, medication administration, blood draws, and assisting with Level 3 procedures.
• Document patient care and communicate effectively during handoffs using Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions and high-quality outcomes.
• Observe and respond to patient status changes, providing timely interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing with at least 1 year of current acute care hospital NICU experience.
• Must possess BLS and NRP certifications.
• Experience Level III or IV NICU skills is required.
• Prior Meditech system experience is preferred.
• PICU experience and PALS certification are a plus.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, caring attitude, and teamwork skills.
