About the Position

Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Local Travel Position

Location: IHS Gallup, NM 87301
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 6 months, with the possibility of extension
Pay: $50.00/hour + $4.93/hour Health & Welfare + travel stipends, if applicable

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

• Administer IV infusions and medications according to physician orders.

• Perform phlebotomy procedures for laboratory testing and patient monitoring.

• Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe and seamless transitions of care.

• Apply knowledge of physiology to monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.

• Assist with the sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment in accordance with safety and infection-control standards.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and patient-centered care.

• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and care provided in medical records.

• Assist with patient ventilation and respiratory support when necessary, following established safety protocols.

• Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and their families regarding health management and ongoing care.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

• Nursing degree or diploma.

• NRP and ENPC certifications preferred.

• Three professional references.

Additional Federal Position Benefits
