The Pesticide Technician plays a critical role in ensuring safe and effective pesticide application while monitoring environmental impact. Working independently and reporting directly to the owner, this position requires frequent travel to various locations. The technician is responsible for maintaining accurate records, handling chemicals safely, and interacting professionally with customers. The company supports growth through certification assistance, specialized training, and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Apply pesticides following safety and regulatory guidelines
- Conduct environmental monitoring to assess treatment impact
- Maintain accurate records of applications and site inspections
- Handle and store chemicals safely and compliantly
- Perform site inspections to determine treatment needs
- Interact professionally with customers to address concerns and provide information
- Generate reports detailing pesticide applications and observations
- Manage inventory of pesticides and related supplies
Required Qualifications
- Valid Pesticide Applicator License
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in pesticide application
- Knowledge of pesticide application techniques
- Strong record-keeping skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
