Program Leader

Job Description To organize and supervise a program that provides academic support and recreational learning opportunities for students and community members. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree (Education or related field) preferred; Associate of Arts degree or 60 semester hours of college credit required. Two years program development experience in the area of youth and family services preferred. One year experience working with school‑aged children preferred. Ability to work with diverse populations. Strong computer skills. Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to work with community service programs and partners. Duties Schedule and supervise after‑school and summer academic and enrichment activities. Coordinate the use of building facilities when participants are on premises. Act as a liaison between classroom teachers and after‑school staff to address logistical, student disciplinary, or academic concerns. Implement a tracking system to collect academic records on all students enrolled in the program. Assist in data collection and analyses for program evaluation. Develop a calendar for after‑school and summer programs. Submit program plans and preliminary budgets for the LKSD grant writer. Offer training and development for program staff. Work with the school’s steering committee, ASB, AOTE, or other advising bodies on matters concerning the program. Facilitate travel arrangements for staff to attend off‑site in‑services. Order materials, supplies, and inventory for the program as outlined in the approved budget. Other duties as assigned within grant parameters.
