This male correctional institution offers inpatient and outpatient mental health services. The outpatient population is primarily geriatric, with a large infirmary serving individuals who require ongoing medical care and monitoring. The setting provides the opportunity to work closely with patients presenting complex medical and mental health needs within a multidisciplinary treatment environment. Responsibilities The Psychologist will provide psychological leadership, consultation, and direct services for patients in the assigned facility. Responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat mental and emotional disorders; supervising interns and residents in the outpatient mental health rotation; and participating in didactic training seminars and weekly group supervision to develop future psychologists.
