Make a meaningful difference each day supporting students in a nurturing school environment as a Paraprofessional. This contract opportunity provides hands-on experience assisting children in an Autistic Support classroom setting, working closely with dedicated teachers and support staff.

Key qualifications:

• Prior experience in a school, classroom, or student-support environment, preferably as a paraprofessional or similar role
• Punctuality and commitment to a full-time weekday schedule (8:50am-3:50pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Student-centered approach with flexibility and a positive attitude
• Ability to follow teacher direction and adapt to evolving needs
• Willingness to provide personal care and ensure the safety of students
• Current CPR/First Aid and CPI training preferred—or readiness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within the first 10 school days and participate in CPI training after hire as required
• Successful completion of all clearance and Act 168 requirements prior to start

What you'll do:

• Collaborate directly with classroom teachers to implement instructional and behavioral plans
• Foster a supportive setting for learners with autism and sensory needs
• Assist with day-to-day activities, transitions, and routines
• Provide personal care support and behavior management as needed for student well-being
• Maintain positive, professional communication with colleagues and leadership

The contract runs through June 2027 and is full-time at 32.5 hours per week on site. Pay for this role is $22 per hour and all necessary trainings will be available for those not yet certified.
