Member Benefits Specialist

To support member inquiries regarding benefit plans, the full-time hourly Member Benefits Specialist will provide exceptional service through various communication channels while working remotely and adhering to MST time zone shifts. Key responsibilities Deliver outstanding service as a single point of contact for members, ensuring resolution ownership and minimal handoffs Educate members on benefit administration, coverage details, and federal regulations to enhance their healthcare experience Conduct research and resolve member complaints while maintaining compliance with HIPAA guidelines Required qualifications High school diploma or GED 1+ year of experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in a member-facing role Experience with telephonic verification of medical benefits is preferred Familiarity with medical claims exposure, including ICD-9/10 coding and CPT coding, is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
