The best design creates clarity, strengthens brands, supports business goals, and performs in the real world. We're looking for a Senior Designer who can operate across that full spectrum. The Role We're looking for an experienced Senior Designer to help lead the execution of sophisticated creative work across our client portfolio. This is a hands-on, multidisciplinary design role for someone who can move comfortably between brand development, digital experiences, design systems, marketing campaigns, print collateral, and ongoing client work. Today, the majority of our client relationships are structured as ongoing retainers. That means this role will work closely with long-term clients, developing a deep understanding of their brands and businesses while supporting a steady mix of digital, brand, campaign, and marketing needs. At the same time, we are continuing to expand our larger project work. Over the coming year, this role will increasingly contribute to substantial website and digital platform engagements that move from discovery and creative direction through design systems, production, and launch. The result is a role with meaningful variety. You may spend part of one week extending an established client's brand across new campaign creative or collateral, another building a sophisticated Figma system for a digital platform, and another helping establish the visual direction for a new brand or website. The role requires both range and depth. We are looking for someone with a strong point of view, excellent visual craft, deep technical fluency in Figma, and the ability to work across multiple client engagements without sacrificing quality or consistency. What You'll Do Lead design execution across brand, digital, campaign, and marketing engagements Support a portfolio of ongoing retainer clients across a variety of creative needs Build a strong understanding of long‑term clients' brands, businesses, audiences, and goals Develop and extend visual identities, including typography, color systems, graphic languages, layout systems, imagery direction, and brand applications Translate brand strategy into cohesive visual systems that work across digital and physical touchpoints Design websites and digital platforms from early creative exploration through production‑ready systems Contribute to large‑scale website and digital platform engagements from discovery through launch Build and maintain sophisticated Figma design systems Establish and manage variables, tokens, component libraries, properties, styles, and reusable design patterns Create design systems that support efficient collaboration between design and development Design responsive digital experiences while maintaining consistency across larger brand ecosystems Support print and physical applications such as brochures, direct mail, event materials, signage, presentations, sales collateral, and other branded materials Develop campaign creative across digital and offline channels Work across multiple projects and client relationships simultaneously Step into established client relationships and extend existing brands thoughtfully and consistently Present concepts, visual directions, and design rationale to clients and internal teams Incorporate feedback while protecting the strategic and creative integrity of the work Collaborate closely with strategists, developers, marketers, content teams, and project managers Maintain an exceptional standard for typography, hierarchy, composition, interaction, consistency, and detail Provide thoughtful feedback and help raise the quality of design work across the team Contribute to the evolution of Temper And Forge's internal design systems, processes, standards, and creative workflows Explore AI‑assisted and emerging creative workflows where they meaningfully improve quality, efficiency, or creative potential What We're Looking For 5+ years of professional design experience, preferably within an agency, studio, or multidisciplinary creative environment A portfolio demonstrating exceptional work across multiple disciplines, including brand and digital Strong visual identity and brand system experience Deep expertise in Figma Advanced experience building and maintaining scalable Figma design systems Strong knowledge of variables, design tokens, components, component properties, libraries, styles, and system architecture Experience translating design systems effectively into development Strong understanding of responsive design, reusable components, and modern digital design patterns Strong typography, layout, hierarchy, color, and composition skills Experience applying brands across both digital and print environments Working knowledge of print production, file preparation, and the practical requirements of designing for physical output Ability to move between conceptual brand thinking and highly detailed production design Ability to work across several client engagements at once without sacrificing quality Experience balancing larger project work with ongoing client and retainer needs Experience presenting work and articulating design rationale to clients Comfort working directly ... You think in systems, not isolated deliverables. You care about how an individual page, logo, presentation, or piece of collateral looks, but you also think about how typography, spacing, color, imagery, components, and brand standards work together across an entire ecosystem. You can create something from scratch, and you are equally comfortable stepping into an established brand and extending it thoughtfully over time. You value the opportunity to build long‑term familiarity with clients while also taking on larger, net‑new creative challenges. You understand that agency work requires range. One engagement may require deep focus on a large digital platform, while another may need ongoing creative support across brand, marketing, digital, and print applications. You care about the details, but you understand why the details matter. You don't approach design as decoration. You want to understand the organization, its customers, its goals, and the problem the work needs to solve. You can defend a strong idea without becoming precious about it. You collaborate effectively with strategists, developers, marketers, project managers, and clients. Most importantly, you take ownership of the work entrusted to you and want your design work to create meaningful results for the organizations we serve.
