Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS required Must-Have: EPIC experience required STEMI and Stroke facility experience required Description: 3x12s, Days, 7a-7:30p. Occasionally may require 3p-3a shifts if needed. Up to weekend and holiday coverage as needed. No on-call shifts required. Minimum of 2 years of experience required. First-time travelers are welcome. Special care populations include cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health. The department cares for patients of all ages. Additional required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patients, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), General Emergency Department for Adults and Pediatrics, Management of patients with gunshot wounds, Head injury, ICP monitoring, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Administration of IV vasopressors, Management of dysrhythmias, Near drowning assessment, Neuro-Trauma management, Non-Trauma Emergency Department, Ortho trauma care, Phlebotomy, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Spinal cord injury care, Starting and maintaining IVs, and Triage. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient visits average 180. The facility features multiple interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary assistance. All applicants must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed).
