Quality Manager

Main Role: The Quality Manager is responsible for overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS). Main Responsibilities: Ensure that the organization’s Quality Management System conforms to customer, internal, ISO 9001, and regulatory/legal requirements. Ensure evaluation of, and reporting on, vendor quality systems. Oversee inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet requirements. Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes, especially those that affect the quality of the organization’s products. Lead a team of Quality engineers, inspectors, auditors, analysts, and technicians. Work with customers, employees, contractors, and outsourcing firms to develop product requirements. Report to top management on the performance of the QMS (e.g., results of quality audits, corrective actions), including the need for improvement. Conduct periodic management review meetings. Oversee product recalls. Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices. Keep up on standards, regulations/laws, issues, and news with respect to product (service) quality. Work with Production management and Quality Assurance to provide feedback to assemblers regarding accuracy of assembly procedures. Perform review of Product History Records and other documentation for compliance to established procedures and Good Documentation Practices Participate in Kaizen and 5S activities in Team. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Knowledge, skills and experience required: B.S. degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering desired. Minimum 7 years related manufacturing experience required. Plastic injection mold preferred. ISO, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Experience with developing/documenting procedures. Use of Quality Engineering methods in inspection. Computer proficiency. Physical requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to access all areas of the facility to review quality. #J-18808-Ljbffr ICONS | America LLC
