Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, UI/API testing, and automation framework enhancement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Playwright, Python, Cucumber BDD, Selenium, Java, REST API, and DB2 testing .
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites.
- Build automation scripts for web UI, APIs, and backend validation .
- Enhance and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Python, Java, and Cucumber BDD.
- Develop test strategies, scenarios, test data, and contingency plans.
- Plan and execute test cases, manage defects, and provide test status and release sign-offs.
- Perform REST API functional, regression, and integration testing .
- Conduct database testing, including SQL validation and data reconciliation.
- Validate batch jobs, file/data handoffs, and end-to-end workflows.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies as a quality advocate.
- Identify and resolve defects early in the development lifecycle.
- Work with tools such as Jira, Git, Jenkins, and Bitbucket Pipelines .
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Owners, Business Teams, and stakeholders.
- 8-12 years of QA/Test Automation experience.
- Strong Playwright automation experience.
- Strong Python and/or Java programming skills.
- Hands-on Selenium experience.
- Strong Cucumber BDD experience.
- REST API automation and testing.
- DB2/database testing experience.
- Automation framework enhancement and maintenance.
- UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments .
- Strong defect management and test reporting skills.
- Experience with Jira, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools .
