Job Purpose Responsible for assisting in all aspects of running a Division I Softball program including, but not limited to game preparation, teaching, and coaching; practices and player conditioning; recruitment and retention of student‑athletes; program administration; academic integrity; and donor/alumni public relations and youth programs. In addition, the assistant coach is responsible for abiding by all rules and regulations of Howard University, the NCAA, and the Mid‑Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) to ensure departmental compliance. Experience Desired Softball Skills: Defense – outfield preferred Organizational Skills Communication Skills Time‑Management Skills Computer & Data and Technology Skills Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree Experience coaching at the college level, high school level and/or equivalent professional experience An understanding of the rules and policies of the NCAA Ability to work with diverse individuals and promote an inclusive environment Compliance Salary Range Disclosure Expected Pay Range: $45,000-$50,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
