Job Overview

Parker is seeking a Chemical Processor to support the chemical cleaning and etching of aircraft sheet metal components. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to start a career in aerospace manufacturing. No prior experience is required, and comprehensive training will be provided.

The selected candidate will work with specialized cleaning and chemical processing equipment while following strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical cleaning and etching operations on aircraft sheet metal components.
• Clean metal parts using a variety of methods, including:
• • Hand wiping
  • Detergent washing
  • Pressure washing
  • Vibro cleaning
  • Vapor degreasing
  • Solvent cleaning
  • Alkaline/caustic cleaning
  • Nitric acid etching
• Mix chemical solutions according to specifications and monitor temperatures and process limits.
• Read and follow manufacturing work instructions, blueprints, and process documentation.
• Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Record production data accurately in manufacturing documentation and electronic timekeeping systems.
• Identify process issues and communicate concerns to supervisors.
• Operate acid etch equipment safely and assist in developing efficient processing techniques.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Know when to seek clarification to ensure quality and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED.

Experience

• Entry-level position.
• No previous experience required.
• Paid training provided.

Required Skills

• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision after training.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely work with chemicals while following established safety procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds .
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, balancing, and material handling.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including:
• • Safety glasses or chemical goggles
  • Hearing protection
  • Respirator
  • Heat-resistant gloves
• Must be able to become respirator certified for chemical processing work.
