• Strive to create a school climate which is positive and productive for students, staff and community.
• Assist the principal in developing and implementing instructional strategies and curriculum in the areas of Special Education and Technology Education.
• Assist the principal in the supervision and evaluation of the performance of school personnel in accordance with the district's adopted guidelines.
• Encourage and lead conversations about equity and diversity.
• Participate in curriculum revision as requested by the principal.
• Participate in the development of the master calendar.
• Participate in the development of the school improvement process.
• Attend and participate in student, staff and school related community functions.
• Assist in the implementation of effective and high functioning Professional Learning Communities.
• Assist with state testing, handling of all test related protocols, and administration of state tests.
• Work to diminish or close achievement gaps among all sub-groups.
• Assist in providing meaningful professional development to all staff throughout the year.
• Implement and follow the HSE adopted Talent Development System.
• Interact with parent, student and staff concerns in an effective, timely manner.
• Serve as the principal-designee when so requested by the principal or superintendent.
• Complete all other duties and tasks as assigned by the principal.
• Participate in district-level activities as assigned by the superintendent.
