What You'll Do
- Counsel inpatients, outpatients, and their families on medical nutrition therapy and tailored diet plans
- Develop and implement nutritional care plans based on assessments and screenings
- Monitor calorie, protein intake, and nutritional support routines; adjust as needed
- Write tube feeding orders following accepted guidelines
- Evaluate and recommend nutritional supplements and products
- Document assessments, interventions, education, and follow-up using international dietetics terminology and the nutrition care process
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
What You Need
- Active Registered Dietitian (RD) license in Michigan
- At least 2 years of clinical nutrition experience
- Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and documentation standards
- Excellent communication and counseling skills
- Ability to adapt care plans to meet individual needs
