This company revolves around the idea of building strong and successful families in the community and is looking for a new addition to their team to meet their objective!Why Work Here?Located in Western Minneapolis away from downtown with its own parking space.Friendly and experienced staff dedicated to maintaining a positive company culture.Room for growth for a person that has great drive and a desire for learning.CFS has successfully served this organization with hiring needs and have received amazing feedback from the individuals that we have placed there.If you’re clever, teachable, and personable, this job may be for you!About the JobGeneral accounting work in a great environment.Performs work in the functional areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, rental collections, and related financial areas.Prepares financial statements and special financial reports according to generally accepted accounting procedures.Provides information to contractors, financial institutions, and the public.Prepares statistical and narrative reports for Federal and State agencies, and coordinates with said agencies as needed.Assists in the collection and preparation of budget information for preliminary planning of the operating budget.Performs other related duties as required.Preferred QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, teachable, and positive.Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred)2+ year(s) of accounting experienceStrong Excel skillsCompetency with journal entries and bank reconciliationsAbility to apply general accounting theories and practices in governmental accounting practiceGraduate work or HUD accounting experience a plus!Compensation:$66,000 – $74,000Work Model:Hybrid, with 3 days in office required
