Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through the use of recognized assessment tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and family members to support therapy advancements outside clinical settings.
• Perform evaluations and interventions for inpatient therapy sessions as necessary, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Keep meticulous documentation consistent with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Advance your knowledge through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not yet ASHA-certified.

Required Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within 30 days of hire.
