We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to support accurate and secure health information in Clive, Iowa. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can keep patient documentation organized, ensure records are accessible to care teams, and handle sensitive information with professionalism. The person in this role will contribute to smooth clinic operations by maintaining data quality, responding to requests efficiently, and following all applicable privacy and documentation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Gather, verify, and update patient demographic, personal, and billing-related information with a high level of accuracy.

• Build, organize, and maintain patient files within electronic medical record systems, including platforms such as Allscripts and Cerner.

• Make sure healthcare providers have prompt access to complete charts and supporting documentation when needed for patient care.

• Locate, monitor, and process medical records according to established chart handling and tracking procedures.

• Safeguard confidential patient information and consistently follow organizational privacy expectations and recordkeeping standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with medical records in a healthcare, clinic, or hospital setting.

• Hands-on familiarity with electronic medical record systems; experience with Allscripts and Cerner is strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of patient chart management, records tracking, and health information documentation practices.

• Understanding of confidentiality requirements and regulations related to protected health information.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate data in a fast-paced environment.
