Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a pivotal role overseeing pharmacy operations in a specialized mail order, compounding environment. This opportunity offers the chance to guide pharmacy management while maintaining hands-on involvement in sterile compounding preparation and verification. Ideal candidates include Pharmacist in Charge professionals or staff pharmacists with sterile compounding expertise aiming to advance into a PIC position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality control.
- Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications with meticulous attention to detail.
- Oversee workflow and support pharmacy technicians within a small, focused team.
- Utilize Prime Rx software for accurate order entry and processing.
- Collaborate closely with the pharmacy team to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Florida Pharmacy License required.
- Strong background in sterile compounding preparation and verification.
- Pharmacy management experience preferred; however, motivated staff pharmacists with compounding skills interested in stepping into a Pharmacist in Charge role are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with Prime Rx order entry system is advantageous.
- Effective leadership and communication skills to manage and support pharmacy staff.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Located in Pompano Beach, Florida.
This contract-to-hire position offers a 13-week initial engagement with potential for permanent placement, providing an excellent pathway to career growth within pharmacy management.
