Physician Family Practice OpportunityLOCATION: Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center Indian Health Service 100 Lake Traverse Drive Sisseton, SD 57262CONTRACT TERM:Period of Performance: Begins on date of awardBase Period: 6 monthsUp to Nine (9) optional 6-month extensionsSCHEDULE & HOURS:Work Week: Monday – FridayDaily Shift: Typically 8 hours between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PMUsual shift: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PMWeekend Hours: 4-hour shifts, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PMHoliday Coverage: May be required; alternative weekday off may be scheduledExpected Weekly Hours: 40–50 hoursPROVIDER REQUIREMENTS:Experience: Minimum 2 years recent (within past 36 months) Family Medicine/General Medicine experienceEducation & Certification: Board Certified, Board Eligible, or partial completion of an accredited residency Current BLS certificationComputer Skills: Proficient with Electronic Health RecordsLanguage: Must speak, read, and write fluent EnglishHealth & Immunizations: No physical limitations preventing clinical work Proof of immunizations required: Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Flu, and PPD within past yearCLINICAL DUTIES INCLUDE:Provide primary care for all ages; average of 16 patients/dayMake appropriate referrals and follow through with recommended therapyParticipate in the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) modelEducate patients on conditions, treatments, and wellnessGather and document relevant patient history and recordsDeliver culturally competent care to Native American patientsEnsure compliance with IHS, CMS, and facility standardsParticipate in assigned committees (QA, Pharmacy & Therapeutics, etc.)Engage in ongoing training and staff developmentParticipate in peer reviews per facility bylaws
