Specimen Accessioner - 2nd Shift
$17.75 - $19 per hourLabcorp
Specimen Processor I position in a diagnostic laboratory setting, responsible for preparing and processing clinical specimens for testing. The role involves data entry, specimen handling, and coordination with client offices in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen issues
- Identify, label, pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
- Perform specimen processing tasks including spinning, freezing, and splitting as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year or more experience in lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing, or warehouse
- Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
Compensation: $17.75 - $19.00 per hour
