Certified Medical Assistant - Adult Medicine and Family Medicine Duties and Responsibilities Preparesand maintains patient's rooms to include stocking and cleaning. Preparespatients for exam and treatment to include: vital signs, weight, height,head circumference, hearing screens, vision screens, and lab workincluding finger/heel sticks and venipuncture, if certified. Recordspatient information in appropriate medical records and lab logs. Assistswith supply ordering and maintenance as necessary. Assistswith medical records maintenance as necessary. Assistswith patient flow through the office. Assistslicensed staff with lab results tracking and follow-up. Maintainspatient confidentiality in all encounters. Assistsin providing PI reports for improving the quality of patient care. Performsother duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager. Qualifications Highschool diploma or GED required. Completionof a Medical Assisting program through an accredited college isrequired. Credentialedthrough one of the following certification entities required: CertifiedMedical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of MedicalAssistants (AAMA) RegisteredMedical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologists (AMT) Ifnot certified through AAMA or AMT, credentialing from other certifyingentities, such as CCMA through NHA, or NRCMA through NHAP, or NCMA throughNCCT will be considered.
