PositionSummary TheProcurementManagersupportsandcoordinatesprocurementactivitiesforamechanical contractingcompany,assistingwithsourcingmaterialsandequipmentrequiredforconstruction projects.Thisrolefocusesonexecutingpurchasingprocesses,maintainingprocurement documentation,andensuringtimelyorderinganddeliveryofmaterialsinaccordancewith projectrequirements,companyprocedures,anddirectionfromprojectmanagersandleadership. KeyResponsibilities •Assistinimplementingprocurementstrategiesalignedwithprojecttimelines,budgets,andcompanyobjectives,underthedirectionofprojectmanagersandleadership. •Coordinatesourcingactivitiesandobtainpricingfromsuppliers,manufacturers,andsubcontractorsforHVAC,piping,plumbing,andmechanicalsystems. •Workwithprojectmanagersandestimatorstoreviewprojectspecifications,drawings,andestimatestoidentifymaterialandequipmentneeds. •Prepareandprocesspurchaseordersandprocurementdocumentation,ensuringaccuracyandcompliancewithestablishedprocedures. •Trackmaterialleadtimesandcoordinatedeliveryschedulestomeetprojectmilestones. •Maintainrelationshipswithvendorstosupportpricing,availability,anddeliveryneeds. •Monitormarketconditionsandreportpricingchangesorsupplyriskstoprojectmanagersandleadership. •Collaboratewithprojectmanagersandfieldteamstoaddressprocurement-relatedissuesandsupportprojectexecution.•Ensureprocurementactivitiesfollowcompanypolicies,safetystandards,andcontractualrequirements. •Assistwithcostcontroleffortsbygatheringpricinginformationandsupportingnegotiationsledbyprojectmanagersorleadership. •Maintainprocurementrecordsandreportingsystemsfortrackingexpenditures,orders,andsupplierperformance. •Provideguidanceandsupporttoprocurementteammembersasneeded. Qualifications •Bachelor’sdegreeinsupplychainmanagement,ConstructionManagement,BusinessAdministration,orrelatedfield(orequivalentexperience). •5–10+yearsofprocurementexperience,preferablywithintheconstructionormechanicalcontractingindustry. •Workingknowledgeofmechanicalsystems(HVAC,piping,plumbing)andconstructionmaterials. •Experiencesupportingvendorpricing,contractdocumentation,andpurchasingactivities. •Familiaritywithconstructionprojectworkflows,drawings,andspecifications. •Proficiencyinprocurementsoftware,ERPsystems,andMicrosoftOfficeSuite. •Strongorganizationalandproblem-solvingskills. •Effectivecommunicationandinterpersonalskillstocollaborateacrossteams. •Abilitytomanagemultipletasksandprioritiesinafast-pacedenvironment. •Knowledgeoflocalsuppliersandconstructionmarketconditionsisaplus. KeyPerformanceIndicators(KPIs ) •Timelinessandaccuracyofpurchaseorderprocessing •On-timedeliveryrateofmaterialsandequipment •Procurementcycletime(requisitiontopurchaseorderissuance) •Accuracyofprocurementdocumentationandrecords •Responsivenesstoprojectteamrequestsandissueresolution •Compliancewithcompanyprocurementpoliciesandprocedures •Reductioninmaterialshortagesordelaysthrougheffectivecoordination WorkEnvironment •Primarilyoffice-basedwithfrequentinteractionwithprojectsites,warehouses,andsupplierlocations. •Fast-pacedanddeadline-drivenenvironmentsupportingmultipleconstructionprojectssimultaneously. •Regularcoordinationwithprojectmanagers,estimators,engineers,andfieldpersonnel. •Mayrequireoccasionaltraveltojobsites,vendorfacilities,andindustryevents. •Standardbusinesshourswithpotentialforextendedhoursduringcriticalprojectphases.
