With a rapidly growing customer base and increasing demand for scalable AI solutions in capital markets, OnCorps is expanding its senior management team to include a VP, Software Engineering to scale its platform and technical organization through the Company's next phase of innovation and expansion.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned and visionary VP of Engineering to lead engineering execution, architecture, and operational delivery under the Chief Product & Technology Officer (CPTO). Reporting directly to the CPTO, the VP of Engineering will be responsible for leading our engineering functions, driving technical execution, scaling our AI-centric enterprise SaaS platform, and ensuring OnCorps continues to deliver trusted, secure, and high-performing AI solutions to the capital markets ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical acumen in enterprise SaaS and AI platforms. We are seeking a VP of Engineering with demonstrated success leading distributed engineering teams and scaling AI-powered SaaS platforms. This leader must be fluent in modern AI development workflows and capable of building a fully AI-enabled engineering organization that effectively leverages coding agents, testing agents, and AI-assisted development tools to accelerate innovation and productivity.

The ideal candidate will operate as a player coach, aligning with OnCorps’ culture of builders and innovators.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Execution & Delivery

• Drive day-to-day software development, engineering operations, and delivery velocity across engineering teams.
• Partner closely with Product Management and Program Management to translate strategic product roadmaps into predictable, high-quality engineering sprints and releases.
• Ensure rigorous engineering standards for agile development, release management, code quality, and cloud-native scalability.
• Partner with the CPTO and senior leadership to set the direction for platform evolution, AI integration, and client scalability.
• Stay ahead of technology and regulatory trends across AI, data governance, and financial systems to position OnCorps as an industry leader.

AI-Enabled Development & Operational Excellence

• Implement and scale coding agents, testing agents, and AI-assisted development tools across the organization to maximize developer productivity.
• Establish metrics and observability dashboards to monitor platform performance, CI/CD throughput, deployment frequency, and engineering velocity.
• Lead the scaling of OnCorps’ SaaS architecture to support a growing client base and increasingly complex use cases.
• Ensure robust data governance, model transparency, and explainability across all AI-driven products.
• Build and maintain a secure, scalable, and high-performance platform that meets the rigorous standards of global asset managers and fund administrators.
• Partner closely with InfoSec on technical risk management, security compliance (SOC 2, GDPR), and infrastructure reliability.

Team Leadership & Engineering Culture

• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing Engineering and DevOps teams, establishing clear structures, feedback loops, and career progression pathways.
• Attract, hire, and retain top technical talent specialized in enterprise SaaS, distributed systems, and applied AI applications.
• Cultivate a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Partnership

• Collaborate with Implementation, Customer Success, and Go-to-Market teams to align engineering output with enterprise reliability, uptime, and client delivery standards.
• Engage with key enterprise clients and technical stakeholders to understand complex integration requirements, architectural, and data management needs.
• Partner with the Head of AI to integrate research, innovation, and development of advanced AI capabilities, LLMOps and agentic functionality into the OnCorps platform.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive technical leadership experience, including 5+ years as a VP of Engineering, Director of Engineering, or equivalent in a financial technology or enterprise software company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; advanced technical degree preferred.
• Proven experience scaling an enterprise-grade technology stack, including cloud infrastructure, operations, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices.
• Deep understanding of data-intensive systems, machine learning operations (MLOps), and AI-driven agentic applications.
• Hands‑on familiarity with modern technologies such as Python, NodeJS, cloud-native containerized microservices (AWS/Azure/GCP), Kubernetes, and modern data pipelines.
• Experience designing and managing secure, compliant, and high‑availability systems serving institutional clients.
• Proven success leading distributed teams and fostering engineering excellence in a high‑growth, innovation‑focused environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead an AI-enabled engineering organization, leveraging AI‑assisted development tools and workflows to significantly improve engineering velocity and productivity.
