Warehouse Lead – DC Branch As the Warehouse Lead, you set the operational tempo from the moment the doors open, managing inbound and outbound freight, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring every order is handled correctly and on time. Key Outcomes Opening & Branch Operations: Open the branch at 5:00 a.m. sharp every day, set the operational tone, and keep priorities identified before others arrive. Inbound Receiving & Inventory: Unload, receive, and put away AM‑tagged freight and stock transfers; close manifests after resolving discrepancies; manage receipts of PO shipments from UPS, FedEx, and trucking carriers; meet the monthly cycle‑count goal; follow up on and resolve inventory‑related discrepancies the same day; manage the wire area by tagging reels, replacing empty reels, and maintaining organization; replenish and condition shelves. Outbound Transfers & Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and label all transfers to other Shepherd branches; manage Direct Sales Order (SO) shipments by contacting writers via email for open and pending items; pull will‑call orders and ensure customers are not waiting; assist customers at the counter when needed. Delivery Operations: Make occasional deliveries using Shepherd’s van (non‑CDL; DOT physical certificate required); represent Shepherd professionally—on time, accurate, and courteous. Facility & Safety: Keep the warehouse organized and clean at all times; follow safety requirements without exception; identify and report hazards or maintenance needs before they become failures. Success After 90 Days The branch opens at 5:00 a.m. every day without delays or exceptions. Transfers go out clean and manifests close with resolved discrepancies. POs are received accurately and put away the same day. Direct SO follow‑up happens proactively and writers are contacted before they ask. Cycle‑count goals are met monthly. The wire area is consistently tagged, organized, and current. Will‑call customers are not waiting. Discrepancies are resolved the same day they are found. The warehouse is clean and organized every shift. The Warehouse Manager trusts the DC warehouse runs correctly when they are not watching. Who Thrives Here Owns outcomes, not just tasks. Experience in warehouse operations, receiving, or distribution. DOT physical certificate required for delivery duties (or ability to obtain prior to first delivery). Familiarity with warehouse management systems and standard computer tools (email, Excel). Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. regularly and stand for extended periods. Valid driver’s license. Work Shift & Hours Monday – Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Compensation Details Starting at $25.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
