Accounts Payable Specialist

We move fast, think strategically, and build systems that scale — and we're looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who does the same. Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role supports the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function as we continue to scale. If you are organized, dependable, and take ownership of your work, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy, proper authorization, and coding Enter invoices into the accounting system and manage recurring payment runs Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies proactively Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payment status Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals and account reconciliations Contribute to process improvement initiatives as the company scales its portfolio and systems Perform other finance or administrative duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 1–4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or a related finance role Foundational understanding of accounting principles and the full AP cycle Proficiency in learning new accounting & AI software quickly & being adept with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel; experience with MRI or other real estate software preferred Strong attention to detail and organization skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills with vendors and internal stakeholders Background in real estate, property management, or commercial real estate preferred What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Generous PTO policy Opportunity to join a fast-scaling company in commercial real estate An entrepreneurial environment where your work directly impacts company growth WorkBay is an equal opportunity employer.
