Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU (Intensive Care Unit) in Athens, Texas. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-acuity environment, supporting adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment to meet the facility's onboarding requirements.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Shift Time: 3x12 Nights, Minimum Hours Per Week: 36
• Required Qualifications: Must have a valid state or compact nursing license in hand at the time of submittal. A minimum of 2 years of experience in intensive care preferred. Certifications required include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience and prior charge nurse experience are preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Patient Ratio: 1:2
  • Daily Census: 8 patients
  • Number of Rooms: 10
  • Interdisciplinary Support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
  • Unit involves management of complex conditions such as multisystem organ dysfunction and acute stroke.
  • Experience with arterial line management, ventilator support, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) preferred.
