If your goals and values align with Honda's, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future!Job PurposeThe SCM Site Delivery Frame Local Group Leader is responsible for coordinating daily activities with his/her respective buyers and technical lead support (EX1 – EX4 / Career Levels L3 – L5) to ensure Key Performance Indicators are met by mitigating risk of Downtime, GDP, and Cost from our North American supply base. The Group Leader is also responsible for implementing business plan themes/strategies developed by SC Delivery Department leadership and SCM Business Unit leadership as well as site Delivery budgets.Key AccountabilitiesSupport Site Delivery Frame Unit Leaders/buyers in troubleshooting supplier and/or site-specific issuesIn supporting Local Unit Leader/Regional Unit Leader, lead the execution of Business Plan Themes/Strategies, Budget, Key Performance IndicatorsLead/maintain critical projects, Business Plan Themes, and other initiatives, present/escalate when necessaryBenchmark with other HDMA Frame Sites to identify and apply cost saving opportunitiesEngage associates w/in specific site or other HDMA Frame sites to develop & implement system enhancements (Commonization, OWBW, etc) and supplier improvement itemsLead associate development activities (train, advise, mentor) of assigned buyersQualifications, Experience, and SkillsMinimum Educational Qualifications:Bachelors' degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Business ManagementMinimum Experience:8+ years relevant experienceOther Job-Specific Skills:Provides necessary direction, support, and identifies/develops training for team members to perform their responsibilitiesAccurately interprets direction from leadership; clearly communicates and conveys technical, business or policy information appropriately across multiple levels within a unit or group of operationTakes action to build effective working relationships between individuals from different cultures, backgrounds, viewpoints & experiencesDevelops and uses benchmarks and performance measures to track progress or identify gapsContinuously seeks opportunities to improve characteristics, conditions, processes, or products and directs improvement activity; has high sensitivity for loss or abnormal conditionsUnderstands the business, processes and technology employed across Honda's operational units; applies expertise to generate themes to improve characteristicsDevelops solutions to highly complex, systemic problems that impact or involve multiple disciplines, departments, or products; takes initiative to develop and implement improvement themes that permanently countermeasure systemic root causesModels' own behavior according to Honda Philosophy and can teach / mentor others to ensure company values are at forefront for all actions and decisionsEffectively delegates responsibilities while providing support and structureCreates a positive work environment that encourages high performance and pursuit of goalsJob DimensionsNo. of Direct Reports: 5 – 10 buyersNo. of Indirect Reports: 5 - 10 buyers on other Group Leader's team (if applicable)Financial Dimensions: Negotiate compensation requests and design changes between supplier and Honda to mitigate financial risk to Honda while ensuring the timely implementation of changepoint.
