Operations Manager- Environmental Services
Spartanburg, SC area
$100,000 - $120,000

Our client is part of a nationwide organization that serves multiple industries with waste management and a variety of environmental services. They are renowned for making our country and our industries better places by cleaning up and/or disposing of anything that can be hazardous to the environment or to our manufacturing facilities throughout the nation. Due to recent acquisitions of new facilities and company-wide growth, they are currently looking to hire a new Operations Manager.

Main duties include:

Lead full P&L and operational budget of a small R&D/environmental office with roughly 10-20 employees
Ensure full compliance with all OSHA and EPA regulatory standards
Lead a safety committee and build a culture of safety throughout the entire organization
Directly manage a team of CDL drivers who transport hazardous materials and waste
Work directly with Project Managers for proposals of new business opportunities, occasionally traveling to new customer sites in the region
Manage inventory on site

Qualifications include:

BS in Business or Environmental Policy, or a similar technical degree
At least 5-10 years of experience leading operations for ideally an environmental or industrial services organization
Strong OSHA and EPA knowledge
Experience managing the transportation of hazardous materials
Exceptional experience driving a culture of safety and compliance
