Certifications: ONC certification preferred but not required


Must-Have:
Highly rated catheter skills
Comfort with repeated daily catheterization of both males and females
Comfort with suprapubic catheter changes


Description:
This is a Clinic RN role in a growing urology clinic.
RNs in this role should have strong catheterization skills.
Daily tasks may involve catheterization of both males and females.
Suprapubic catheter changes will also be required.
Patient diagnoses may include various types of cancer and urinary issues.
The role encompasses care for patients with prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular, and penile cancers.
Additional conditions may include incontinence, BPH, erectile dysfunction, and renal calculus.
RNs must be comfortable providing care for patients with urinary retention, overactive bladder, and male UTIs.
Experience with circumcision and undescended testicles is also beneficial.
The clinic sees a daily census of around 100 patients.
The RN will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Candidates must be familiar with the EPIC charting system.
All procedures will be conducted following universal precautions.
