Medical Assistant

We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Minimally Invasive Urogynecology practice. The position is full‑time (Monday‑Friday, days) with no nights, on‑call, weekends, or holidays. The role is based at HCA Florida Palm Beach Gastro and focuses on delivering high quality, efficient patient care. Responsibilities Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking histories and vital signs. Set up exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and maintain supplies and equipment, including sterilization. Give injections and assist with lab testing and phlebotomy. Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals. Answer telephone calls to the practice and screen referrals. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program, or have twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting, or hold current Medical Assistant certification. Candidates with one year of medical work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant certification must obtain certification within one year of hire date. Medical Assistants who recently graduated from a Medical Assisting training program will obtain a clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment. Active and unrevoked RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or NCRMA certification/ABR‑OE credentials is highly preferred. Certified Medical Assistant, NHA Cert Clinical Medical Assistant, NAHP Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant, AMT Registered Medical Assistant, or ABR‑OE Assess Based Rec in Order Entry must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
