CT Technologist

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT examinations and assists physicians with invasive CT procedures. Prepares examinations for interpretation and maintains radiation safety. Assists with maintaining supplies. Performs and documents diagnostic CT examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider. Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver. Analyzes CT examinations for quality control purposes. Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist. Operates all CT and related equipment. Operates all facility-based computer systems. Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of a physician/per protocol. Transports, moves, and positions patients in a safe and appropriate manner. Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of CT. Participates in quality assurance/quality control activities related to CT.

Minimum of two years in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred. Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in radiography and CT. Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA approved school. Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification.
