Group 1 Automotive is hosting an on-the-spot hiring event for experienced Automotive Technicians and Sales Professionals across our Atlanta metro dealership locations! Meet directly with hiring managers, interview on the spot, and walk away with the possibility of a same-day offer.

What to expect: Meet directly with hiring managers from multiple Atlanta-area dealerships, learn about open Technician and Sales roles, and interview on the spot. No need to wait on a callback, we're ready to talk with you the day of!

 

Location : Courtyard by Marriott, 130 Clairemont Ave, Decatur, GA 30030

Time : Interviews run all day from 11am to 7pm, so stop by whenever works for your schedule!

Responsibilities

Automotive Technicians

• Perform high-quality repairs efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards
• Conduct comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and testing on automotive systems
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Road-test vehicles to verify successful repairs
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Provide timely updates to service advisors on repair status and estimated completion times
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving automotive technology
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Sales Professionals

• Guide customers through the vehicle buying process, from initial inquiry to delivery
• Build rapport and assess customer needs to recommend the right vehicle fit
• Maintain strong product knowledge across inventory and current promotions
• Follow up with leads and prospects to drive showroom traffic and close deals
• Deliver an exceptional, low-pressure customer experience at every step
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
• Uphold company values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, and vendors

Qualifications

Automotive Technicians

• 1 year of automotive technician experience (dealership experience preferred)
• ASE certification(s) in specialized areas such as brakes, electrical/electronic systems, or engine performance strongly preferred
• Manufacturer certifications are a bonus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license in the state you'll work and a good driving record
• Excellent customer service skills
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening

Sales Professionals

• Prior sales experience preferred (automotive sales a plus, but not required)
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Must pass background check, MVR, and drug screening
