Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and autonomous Family or Adult-Acute Nurse Practitioner to provide top-tier clinical care to patients of all ages. In this role, you will diagnose and treat a wide variety of acute, non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, manage chronic conditions, and perform routine clinical procedures. You will work closely with an incredible support staff to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate patient throughput.

Responsibilities:

• Acute & Urgent Care: Evaluate, diagnose, and treat walk-in patients presenting with acute illnesses (flu, strep, infections) and minor trauma (sprains, strains, minor lacerations).
• Clinical Procedures: Competently perform urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage (I&D), foreign body removal, and advanced wound care management.
• Primary Care: Manage basic chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes management) for scheduled primary care patients.
• Physicals & Specialized Exams: Conduct routine physicals, sports physicals, and specialized occupational exams (such as D.O.T. physicals and Immigration Medical Exams/Form I-693).
• Diagnostics & Treatment: Order and interpret diagnostic tests (digital X-rays, point-of-care labs, EKGs) and formulate comprehensive treatment plans, including prescribing medications and administering IV therapy.
• Patient Education: Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions to patients and their families.
• Documentation: Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with clinical guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the state of Nevada.
• Certification: Board certification (AANP or ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred (to see all ages), or Adult-Gerontology/Acute Care with strong urgent care experience.
• Credentials: Active Nevada DEA license and Pharmacy Board registration for prescribing privileges.
• Language Skills: Professional working proficiency or fluency in Spanish is highly preferred. Ability to confidently conduct medical exams and explain complex treatment plans in Spanish.
• Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience working as an NP in an Urgent Care, Emergency Room, or fast-paced Primary Care setting is preferred. (Wound care experience is a major plus!)
• Certifications: Active BLS required; ACLS or PALS preferred. National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) for DOT exams is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
