The intern will have an individual project and the opportunity to develop technical, engineering and/or scientific expertise. Through the internship, interns develop a professional network, learn how to work in a scientific and engineering environment, build hands-on laboratory skills, and deliver presentations showcasing their work. The program will run from May 18 – July 24, 2026. Key Responsibilities The intern will assist the MSAT team in the lab by writing and conducting studies under the guidance of a senior employee. The main project would likely be centered around something in the lab for drug product/frozen drug substance implementation. They will also help with equipment setup and testing as needed and may assist with other tech transfer deliverables. The successful candidate will be motivated, curious, and hard-working, with the ability to think creatively and learn quickly to contribute to successful and timely completion of goals. Experience & Skills Intern: rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s in biology, cell and molecular biology, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering or a related discipline Advanced Intern: enrolled in a master’s or PhD program in biology, cell and molecular biology, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering or a related discipline Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of AAV Experience with cell culture and cell biological assays Experience with data analysis Experience with computer and IT systems Good presentation and organization skills Knowledge of basic lab skills Work Environment Primarily a laboratory or office setting May involve standing, sitting, and using laboratory equipment for extended periods Some lifting of equipment or materials may be required Work may involve exposure to chemicals or biological materials; proper handling and disposal procedures must be followed Core Program Elements Duration: An engaging 10-week in-person program designed to provide an immersive experience.
