Corporate Accountant

Corporate Accountant Kurv Industrial ("Kurv") is a privately-owned, vertically integrated real estate operating company and investment manager that focuses on the acquisition and development of Class A industrial real estate in the supply-constrained core industrial markets of Chicago, Dallas, Miami, New Jersey/New York, Los Angeles/San Francisco, and Seattle. Based out of Kurv's Corporate office in Chicago, the Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day corporate accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and maintenance of accounting systems. This role works closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and broader accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of corporate financial results. The Corporate Accountant plays a key role in preparing workpapers, managing data in Yardi, supporting treasury and reimbursement processes, and assisting with process improvements across the accounting function. Essential Job Responsibilities Prepare and maintain corporate accounting workpapers and supporting schedules Assist in the preparation of internal actual and forecast reporting packages, KPIs, and ad hoc reporting for management Support the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Assist in calculating and tracking development, construction, property, and asset management fees Process and review corporate reimbursements and expense allocations Support cash management and treasury activities, including coordination with banking partners as needed Maintain and utilize Yardi to support corporate accounting, reporting, and cross-functional needs Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements within corporate accounting workflows Partner cross-functionally with other departments to gather information, meet reporting deadlines, and ensure data accuracy Support external accounting firms and auditors with requested documentation and reporting Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business field Two to five years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate or investment management Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience with Yardi or similar accounting/ERP systems preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting High level of accuracy and attention to detail Personal Attributes Self-motivated, proactive, and accountable professional Coachable, receptive to feedback, and eager to grow in responsibility and expertise Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders Collaborative, team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment Compensation & Benefits Compensation package commensurate with market data and individual experience, including salary and bonus potential 401(k) plan, with employer match Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick, and holiday leave Significant opportunity for upward mobility in a growing organization Other Details Willingness to work >40-hour work week Upbeat and collaborative company culture We do not offer remote work options, but provide flexibility #J-18808-Ljbffr Kurv Industrial
