Associate, Purchasing

Service Champions is seeking an experienced Purchasing Associate to support our Operations Department by managing procurement processes, supplier relationships, and inventory coordination. Responsibilities:

• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in details, quantities, and specifications
• Research and assess supplier capabilities, pricing, and product quality
• Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions, contracts, and agreements
• Prepare monthly and annual purchasing reports for management review
• Collaborate with inventory management teams to monitor stock levels and reorder points
• Track order status and promptly report any delivery issues to supervisors
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulations
• Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and report generation

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience in inventory or purchasing
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for vendor negotiations and issue resolution
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data management and analysis
• Strong analytical skills for evaluating vendor quotes, comparing prices, and assessing product quality
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines
• Understanding of budgeting and financial best practices to ensure cost-effective purchasing
• Familiarity with procurement policies and legal compliance requirements

Pay Range: $20 - $24 USD
