Microbiology QC TechLititz, PAFull-TimeM-F, 1st Shift (8A-5P)Compensation: $29-34/hr depending on experienceKelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group (KellyOCG), a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc., is currently seeking a Microbiology QC Tech for a long-term engagement at one of our Global clients in Lititz, PA.Benefits and Compensation:Fully benefitted position. RESPONSIBILITIESTest raw materials and finished products for microbial quality (i.e. Microbial Limits) using standard operating procedures. Interpret and report test results. Maintain records in accordance with written and cGMP requirements. Perform microscopic evaluations and Gram stains. Perform microorganism identifications from validated diagnostic system. Prepare and maintain microbial cultures used for testing. Participate in the investigation of questionable or out-of-specification test results. Perform method suitability. May perform Antimicrobial Effectiveness Testing (AET). May perform microbiological assays of antibiotic raw materials and finished products. Prepare media and buffers. Perform routinely scheduled cleaning and housekeeping tasks. Sample USP Purified Water and collect air samples and equipment swabs in a production environment. Communicate information to supervisor in a timely manner. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or similar preferred. 3+ years experience performing microbiology testing, environmental monitoring, and other required testing within a GMP environmentFamiliarity with cGxP and USP compliancesMust have ability to multi-task, communicate effectively and be on-site.
