We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our K10 Pharmacy Team at The MSKCC Koch Center as an Evening Pharmacy Technician . Core Skills: Someone who readily tackles challenges without unnecessary planning. Able to handle and manage crises optimally. Known to deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. Able to follow through on commitments and act with a clear sense of ownership. Resourceful and make sound decisions, even in the absence of complete information. Role Overview: Compound medications, including chemotherapy, in a clean room environment. Perform Inventory management (ordering, receiving, stocking). Complete annual proficiency assessments. Triage phone calls with courtesy and promptness and refer to a pharmacist when applicable. Maintain pharmacy files and records. Demonstrate proficiency with appropriate pharmacy equipment, systems, and technology. Assist with pharmacy inspections. Adhere to State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required. Current NY Technician License Omnicell experience is beneficial Although prior chemotherapy experience is not required, having strong IV compounding skills is beneficial Hours : Evening shift, typically 2-10PM Monday-Friday, although hours may vary. Weekend and holiday shifts variable depending on the needs of the department.
