About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 18 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar specialty License: Active state RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience, travel experience Description: Specialty in Cardiac Tele. Night shifts are required. Average daily census is 25 patients. Patient age range is adults. Patient diagnoses include telemetry patients with primary or secondary cardiac diagnoses and primary stroke/TIA. Unit details include remote telemetry monitoring. Specialty drips managed include Cardizem (non-titratable), Amiodarone, Heparin, Protonix, and Lasix. Special equipment includes portable phones and IV pumps. Uniform scrub color is navy blue. Floating within the specialty is required. Attendance during designated holidays is mandatory. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Patients require management of cardiac telemetry. Skills required include interpretation of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response teams. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy services. Candidates must be comfortable floating and cannot request scheduling restrictions. Compliance documents must be completed by a specified deadline prior to start.
