About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year License: Active state RN license Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred; Travel experience preferred Description: The position is for a registered nurse in a medical-surgical/telemetry unit. The nurse will work night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts per week. The nurse is required to handle adult and geriatric patient populations. Patient diagnoses may include sepsis, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, pneumonia, cholecystitis, and congestive heart failure. The nursing ratio is typically 1:5 on the unit. The charting system used is Epic. Navy blue scrubs are required. The nurse may float within the specialty and to other units as needed. Holidays may be required as they fall. Every other weekend coverage is required. The nurse must possess skills in managing various medical procedures, including but not limited to: - Blood product administration - Central line management - Telemetry monitoring - Wound care The unit supports interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The candidate must be comfortable with all required patient care responsibilities and be adaptable to unit needs. Compliance with regulatory and certification requirements is expected.
